Train rides at dusk and in the dark

The Canberra Miniature Railway is hosting a special event this Saturday 17th Feb 2024 from 5:30pm to 9pm: train rides in the early evening and night with a huge computer-controlled animated light show. These events are rare so bring the family to the track for train rides in the dark. We kick off at 5:30pm so that the littlies can have some rides before they have to go home to bed but the real fun begins at dusk when the site comes alive with light!

Tickets at https://trybooking.com/eventlist/CMR – these give you entry to the site and unlimited rides on any train on both of our tracks. Children aged 2 or under are free. PLEASE NOTE THAT ENCLOSED FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED (no thongs or sandals).

BECAUSE THIS IS A SPECIAL EVENT, ALL PERSONS WISHING TO ENTER THE SITE MUST HAVE OR BUY A TICKET (except children aged 2 or under). This is because the light show is part of the entertainment. All tickets include entry and unlimited rides.

Our canteen will be open for yummy hot and cold food and drinks so you’re welcome to purchase your dinner here and eat in our covered picnic areas while watching the trains go around.
